Buyer Warranty

Benefits of a Buyer Warranty

An HMS Buyer Warranty Plan gives you the protection you need. It covers breakdowns in major systems such as plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning, as well as major appliances such as washer/dryer, over and refrigerator. With so much that can go wrong, and often does, an HMS Home Warranty gives you peace of mind.

  • Provides coverage generally not offered by a homeowner's insurance policy
  • A network of qualified contractors to assist you is only a phone call away 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
  • Optional coverage is available for additional protection
  • The warranty may be renewed for subsequent years, so you can enjoy the protection for as long as you own your home (eligibility subject to underwriting criteria)
  • Coverage is available for newly constructed homes

Description of a Buyer Warranty

An HMS Buyer Warranty Plan provides one year of coverage to the Homeowner. The Warranty is available to homeowners at the time of closing (title transfer) provided HMS has received proper payment within seven (7) days of closing.

The buyer warranty plan is also available if no title transfer occurs. The Homeowner may obtain one year of coverage that becomes effective thirty days after HMS has received proper payment.

The buyer warranty plan is also available on newly constructed homes. Coverage begins on the day after closing and continues for three years. Optional coverage is available on newly constructed homes.

Certain coverage and pricing are not available under all plans or in every state and in certain cases an additional fee may be required. Upon purchase of a warranty you will receive a contract which includes the full and complete terms and conditions of the plan.
